FEATURES
Orbis is a hand-sculpted plaster ceiling light, conceived as both a functional light fixture and a refined sculptural object. Concentric rings radiate outward from a soft central dome, drawing the eye inward while diffusing light gently across the surrounding surface. Its form is sculpted in plaster over a solid metal armature, reinforced with plaster bandages and layered in plaster. It is a slow, additive process that gives every piece its distinct, tactile presence — a chalky matte surface reminiscent of mid-century French plaster traditions, reinterpreted through a contemporary, minimalist lens. Designed to cast a soft, ambient reflected light, Orbis turns the ceiling into a quiet source of illumination, the rings rippling outward from its luminous center like a halo.
